Updated 7 June 2022

Dragon's Lair is the ultimate in DVD games. The game itself started its own game genre. If you don't believe us then look it up. Here is the instruction manual for playing the DVD version of the game. We particularly like the illsutrations that show the key characters in the game and their personalities. Dirk the Daring looks so goofy.

Dragon's Lair DVD game ready to play

Dragon's Lair is a ground-breaking DVD release which allows you to play a fully interactive version of the classic laser-disc arcade game using your controller. You control the actions of Dirk the Daring, a valiant knight on a quest to rescue a fair princess from the clutches of an evil dragon. Fight your way through the castle of a dark wizard who has enchanted it with treacherous monsters and obstables. Lead on brave adventurer... your quest awaits!

The Dragon' Lair game is a classic of animation and well timed moved. The original arcade game looks amazing. It is exactly like jumping into an arcade game and controlling the main character. The original game was difficult and sucked up coins like a classic Hoover. Many people know that the arcade version of Dragon's Lair is run from a Laserdisc player. But did you know that the gameplay was controlled by a Commodore Amiga? The real question is if the DVD version of the game lives up to it' lagacy?

You, Dirk the Daring, are on a quest to rescue the Fair Princess Daphne who has been kidnapped and is being held captive by Singe the Evil Dragon.
